Green and Clean

Two of the most startling differences from our current home to what we found in Germany was the color and the cleanliness. It was amazing to be surrounded by so much green all the time. I had forgotten how beautiful it is when the sun peaks through a heavily wooded area. Here are some photos of our nature walk. We found a fast flowing stream and the kids had fun dropping sticks and grass in on one side, then running to the other side to see it continue to float downstream. I also gave Steven permission to whack things with a stick, "You mean it's really ok this time, Mom?" He was in little boy heaven. He even managed to make it through a whole patch of nettles without a single stinging!
