Ahhh Vacation... it's here again, our old friend!

Today was our second day of vacation.
Yesterday we visited another set of third grade twins who had attended school with the girls at their old school. The other family had actually moved north before us, and were excited to learn that we were only about a 45 minute drive to the east of them. I forgot my camera so I promise that next time we visit I will be sure to take some, it was a very photograph worthy region.

We had a great day of sightseeing: lots of towering ancient walls, and medieval palace ruins, then lunch at the family's riad/converted to hotel, then horse rides and coffee (horse rides for the kids, coffee for the grown ups) and a hectic squeeze through the busy souk (ye old crowded market) with Steven on my shoulder's to prevent his trampling and to keep the local adults from ruffling his hair (he did get pinched on the behind by some teenagers trying to get attention), and a relaxed evening with friends in big comfy couches (they had brought all their furniture back with them from Texas when they returned home to North Africa) while the kids played well together (a small miracle).
We got home late from our busy day and needed to have an afternoon of down time today. So I let the kids be creative with clay while I took a much needed power nap. Here are some of the creations:
