School ROCKS!

I got to pop down to the Volleyball tournament that our school hosted this weekend - just in time to hear two of my students play during the break. They ROCKED the place! Of course, there were those stodgy adults who don't appreciate the finer things in life... like really loud, good, heavy metal type music! But, it was perfect! And I certainly enjoyed it! I think the boys had to cut it short because the people in charge wanted to start the next game... but come on, people, get your priorites straight... I mean, I like Volleyball allright, but come on! LET THE MUSIC PLAY!



I also wanted to include this great pic of a piece that one of my drama classes is working on. We are doing a rendition of a story called "Tomas and the Library Lady" it is a story out of the reading text of one of the elementary classes and we will be performing it for them next month. In this particular scene, the old Grandfather is seated in front of a tree, telling a story about a man who gets caught in the tree during a storm and thinks it is a monster... I have a great group of actors! (and yes, that is artwork on the wall behind them... also a talented bunch of artists here too! Those are studies in Pop-Art ala Andy Warhol that you see behind the tree.)
