Pardon my French
I have had lots of people ask how Steven is doing at school - and with his French class. (He is the one lying sideways in the middle... always the star of the show... wonder where he gets that from? Must be his Aunt Liz! LOL) He goes to an English emmersion class with his French speaking classmates on odd days and to a French immersion class on even days. Here he is with his French class on Native Dress day - the kids and teachers are all wearing the traditional garb of the local culture.

I am not sure he knows the difference - he seems to be just sponge-soaking it all up and not really differentiating between the classes - and already understands more French than I do. He doesn't use it outside of class much, though. I am sure by next year he will seem almost fluent (of course he won't be, but it will be more than I can manage with my limited time for study).
This is Steven with his French class- (sorry, no pics of his English class, yet) you can barely see him sitting at the front - red shirt. At the end of each day the teacher counts out (in French) the "good marks" that each student has earned throughout the day - then, depending on the number of good marks, the student gets a small stamp or a large stamp, or multiple stamps. This incentive-based approach works well with Steven and although he still struggles at times, he is making great strides!

I think maybe he gets it from you silly!!! Although maybe it's just a family disease...By the way, I just started studying French here, although I'm studying it through Russian (my teacher doesn't speak any English) so I'm practicing Russian at the same time!!! Looking forward to seeing you soon!!!
