Stringing things along...

Our laundry seems to be overtaking our porch! We have one rack for drying (see previous post) and sometimes that is just not enough... Remember those strings that my children were so inventive with on the plane? Well, they have come into good use here as well. We tied the strings together and strung up our own "drying rack" The girls are enjoying helping with hanging out the laundry and even bringing it in - and even though the maid does a lot of our laundry for us, there is still plenty left for us to manage!

This is a picture of Abby helping me hang up a load of clothes to test our new invention. (for those of you scientists who are wondering... yes it did sag after time, but I cinched it back up tight and it is doing fine - and no, the strings are colorfast so they didn't stain our clothes.)

What about the roof? Any room there?

I have vowed never to tell my children that these buildings have excitingly dangerous rooftops... so, we are not going there! However, the balcony is fine, and we can always use the dryers downstairs if we need to. Thanks for your ideas though, keep 'em coming!

So, um, assuming your children have about average curiosity for children, how long are you thinking it will be before they discover the roof themselves?
