McParty!!! and then some...

This is actually the only picture I have from the Mc-Birthday party... if you wanna see what I had to eat check the previous post ( More fun foods and a QUIZ! ).
IT was still during Ramadan, so the McD's was really only just opening and selling food to adults who were feeding their young children (but not eating it themselves).
So we (Steven and I and our helpful navigator, who graciously agreed to show us the way to church that morning and then submitted himself to the torture of not just McD's but to a birthday party at McD's and not just any party, but one that my son was not invited to, but had to be in the same restaurant as... (yeah, you get the picture) needless to say... David you are a saint in my book!) ordered some food and sat at the other end of the restaurant from really loud music and really loud children at a really long party! I was actually thankful for the loud party as Steven threw his fit... which magically subsided as soon as he ate. Go figure.
The girls got to play games and get their faces painted and finally got to eat. And as the party appeared to be reaching meltdown we quickly excused ourselves to go home. This was the point where my Steven was accused of hitting one of the party goers while playing in the "climb toy" and as I was trying to manuver him to the right boy for an apology, that very boy slugged another kid a couple of times (for no obvious reason) and I decided it was not the best time for a lesson in apologies... and we high-tailed it out of there.
The ride home was quite exciting, as the car kept trying to stall all the way home. Thankfully I am adept at driving old cars that have mechanical problems and was able to nurse it all the way home without actually stalling (we found out later that one of the spark plug wires had come loose and we were driving on only three cylinders). The children had reached their limit and were doing the thing that siblings do when asked to share a bench seat... and were creating quite a soundtrack for our drive hom. I have to commend David on his acting abilities because he flawlessly faked his awe for my driving abilities while probably covering for an emotion that was much closer to one which might be experienced by a helpless bystander who has been kidnapped by rogue circus performers bent on testing the theory of gravity off the edge of the Grand Canyon. Thanks for hanging in there, you were a good sport.
