What happens in the meantime???

As the lonely luggage lounges in our living-room life goes on as... UNusual as ever, and I've included some pictures of what we have been up to since our departure was delayed.Jeanine has been working on art:

...and although Jeanine cleaned (more-like gutted) the girls' room and they have been doing a great job of keeping it tidy... too much creativity combined with open floorspace, and the need for fort-making... resulted in the beautifully engineered fort you see pictured here:














... and this morning our van decided to make things exciting by dying on the way to church. Thankfully, it quit at the bottom of our hill and a friendly fellow helped us push it out of the way of traffic so it can leagally sit on the side of the road until we can afford to do something about it. (that is our house on the right, the van is the dark spot in the distance, across a 4 lane road at the bottom of our hill) So we missed the service and had another "relaxing" day at home, just the kids and I in 90 degree weather!
