Saying goodbye to Seattle

The kids had a blast as we said goodbye to family and friends at the Space Needle in downtown Seattle. While we waited for our "people" to arrive the kids climed on these large cement balls, then we walked around and found a baloon man who wanted to make twisty baloons for the kids (for free, even!). Gillian and Abigail got poodles and Steven got a sword and sheith.

Here is a photo of Gilly enjoying her time visiting with Great Grandma Pearl.

Abigail is posing in front of the great scenery (Mom finally figured out how to take a picture that showed off the background AND the foreground! Way to go Mom!)

Steven was thoroughly entertained by the way the walls kept moving around the floor. We found that people would write notes on coasters and prop them against the window-ledge, and others would write comments as they slowly made their way past. (For those of you who don't know about the restaurant at the space needle check out this link: http://www.spaceneedle.com/restaurant/

The kids were treated to the Lunar birthday Sunday for desert. The dry ice made a big impression!

We were celebrating the kids' half-birthday (which we do every year in lieu of there actual birthdays which all fall during the Christmas season) and they were having the time of their lives! What a sendoff! Thanks Grandma Rain and Papa Doug!

The kids got to open their gifts down on the observation deck (apparently they have a time limit in the restaurant... which strangely, doesn't affect how quickly they actually serve the food!)

Even the Grandmas got in on the spirit of the day and were Monkey-ing around with the best of them!
