Girls camp withdrawls

We have arrived safely home and already shipped the girls off to girls camp on Sunday. Unfortunately Abby was running a fever and they sent her home. Her temperature was back to normal the next day and I was able to drive her back to the coast so that she could join camp for the rest of the week.

In case parents are missing their kids and want to be a little more in touch with how camp is going, the camp posts pictures that are taken the previous day. It was fun finding this picture of Gillian enjoying her snow cone from the first day of camp. I am looking forward to seeing

Steven came with me and enjoyed playing at the beach. We studied the differences between the beaches we left behind in North Africa and the beaches along the Pacific Coastline. Here, the biggest plusses are: 1) driftwood for building forts 2) less people on the beach (I think we saw three people the entire time we were there) and 3) squeeky sand.

Omigosh! Where did you ever find all that information on squeaky sand! I guess after all the times I've spent at the Oregon and Washington coasts, it still never occurred to me to ask why the dry sand squeaks! Love Mom

Welcome back! I think our mutual blog posting and reading is one of the coolest representations of the reason it's great to be alive in these cyber times.

Since I read your blog regularly, I could easily spot Gillian in that snow cone picture posted by Krissi Carson on Facebook.
