Recent trip back to NA to pack
For those who don't know, our plans to return to North Africa this fall didn't work out. So, in late September I went back (without kids) to pack up and sell off our things and say a difficult goodbye to everyone. I am making peace with our separation, but I miss that place and those people... and it is hard not knowing when we might get to be there again. It was wonderful to be able to see former students, co-workers, and friends but bittersweet because I also had to say goodbye.
Moving on: I have a new job that starts on Monday and I am really excited about being part of such a great team of people (curious aren't you.... email me and ask!) And the homeschooling with Steven is moving along at a steady clip - it's hard to believe that we are already quickly approaching day 50 of homeschool!
This post is dedicated to a good friend and practically family member. We miss you Khadija!
