Ahhh Vacation... where did it go?

Our vacation came and went about as fast as the wind around here. We didn't go anywhere, for which I am truly thankful! Here are a few snapshots of how vacation went:


I borrowed some videos from our school library and the kids had fun watching them: Reading Rainbow, Clifford, Curious George, Danny the Dinosaur. The kids were creative enough to set up little "TV trays" so that they could eat and watch the new shows. Mommy loved the few moments peace and managed to even read three books that week. (Yes, Mom, they were the short Trilogy by Anne McCafferey)

We finally got our herb garden started... here is our basil. Yes, it is true that some of the plants look a whole lot bigger than others, but that is because I was "rooting" a handful of basil in a glass of water, and we transplanted theme to see if they would grow... in which case, when the roots appeared, we put them in with the Basil seedlings. Pesto anyone??



Now that vacation is over and summer is drawing near - I have decided to really buckle down when I have a few moments of free time and learn some French. So this week, (while lying on the roof, soaking up some gentle rays)
