Running like crazy!

On the last day of last year I did my first race.





I came in 19 out of 39 for my age bracket, and 426th out of 715 participants. My time for the 5k was 32:20 with an average speed of 10:38 per mile (which is probably an improvement for me, but I haven't ever accurately timed myself - and probably never tried as hard.) The race started at 8:00pm and the weather was reported to be around 20F (not including windchill).






I am pretty proud... if you asked me last year if I would be running a race... I would have laughed in your face! I have a lot of improvement ahead of me, but I have discovered that I enjoy running!
