Fouth of July

Our Fourth of a July was nice and relaxing. It started with a trip to the beach for Steven with the puppies and Aunt Beth and Uncle Boogy - while the girls went pre-camp shopping with mom. Steven enjoyed sandcastle building and even got a rock to skip three times in a row.

Later, we had a barbecue dinner all together - a real surf and turf deal (mom supplied the charcoaled ribs that were overdone because she was busy talking to a handsome guy online and forgot about them)

Then, when it was dark (and after the s'mores) the kids and I sat on the roof of the Volvo and watched all the neighborhood fireworks - it was like a war zone in our neighborhood. After we figured out how to survive against the mosquitoes the kids did sparklers in the yard. Mom HATES supervising kids doing fireworks... thankfully the kids were saved because someone else was available to supervise... Thanks Uncle Boogy!
