Sunday School at Home
When we first arrived in North Africa we were without a car for about a month and had no transportation to go into town on Sundays... so we had our own meeting at home. We took turns picking out verses to read, songs to sing, everyone prayed... and of course we always had at least one story to re-enact! (can you imagine how much fun that is with a drama teacher and her three dramatic children? In case you suffer from a lack of imagination... I took pictures this time!) In any case, while we had company over the Christmas break, we also had lots of sickness, so we stayed at home on Sunday and had our own service again. The kids loved performing their favorite story with an audience bigger than one!
The girls loved using Mom's scarves to portray their characters, Mary and Martha.
(A very wiggly) Lazarus is buried after his untimely death.
Martha weeps...................
......................Mary weeps.
Mary and Martha are worried that their brother will smell bad when they roll away the stone... he's been dead several days, after all!
